Sarah is a Behaviour Support Practitioner and Social Worker based in northern Gold Coast, Queensland with seven years of experience providing positive behaviour support to children, teens and adults with disability. Her practice is grounded in understanding what behaviour is communicating, rather than simply trying to stop it. She specialises in supporting autistic and non-verbal people who present with big or confusing behaviours. Sarah works in a calm, down-to-earth way so the person, their family and their support team feel heard, included and never judged. She holds a Master of Social Work and undergraduate degrees in Criminology and Psychology. Human rights sit at the centre of her practice, with dignity, safety and the person’s goals guiding every stage of support.

Khatera(Kat) is an experienced NDIS-registered Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner who works with individuals across the lifespan, from early childhood through to adulthood and complex life transitions. Her practice is grounded in evidence-based PBS, trauma-informed care and person-centred practice, in line with NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission standards.

She has worked across SIL and SDA, shared accommodation and family homes, community settings, primary and secondary schools, and aged-care interface environments. Khatera supports participants with complex behaviours of concern, psychosocial disability, mental health conditions, autism, ADHD, intellectual disability, developmental delay and high or complex support needs.

With a Bachelor of Primary Teaching and a Master of Education, she brings strong analytical, collaborative and capacity-building skills. She works closely with participants, families, carers, support workers, schools and multidisciplinary teams to develop clear, practical, strengths-based Behaviour Support Plans that improve safety, increase independence, protect dignity and enhance quality of life in everyday environments.

Khatera provides school-based behaviour support, transition planning (school transitions, transition to adulthood and SIL transitions), and trauma-informed support for complex behavioural presentations. She offers services face-to-face in Oakhurst and surrounding areas, and via telehealth/online across NSW. She is also multilingual, providing culturally responsive support in English, Farsi, Dari, Urdu, Hindi and Spanish, which is especially valuable for CALD participants and families.

Toast (also known as Toaster or Toast Tea) is Mirrored Mindset’s unofficial four‑legged receptionist and meeting host. She takes her role in virtual sessions very seriously, insisting on attending every call and loudly “protecting” the office from suspicious noises, passing birds and any delivery driver within a 5‑kilometre radius. When she’s off duty, Toaster is a dedicated lap dog who believes all humans exist for cuddles, pats and the occasional strategic theft of toilet paper.

Toaster has her own set of communication buttons that she uses to request walks, food, cuddles and to play tug. She will sprint across the room the moment you give anyone or anything else attention, and a quick “Who is a good boy?” (yes, boy) is guaranteed to have her at your feet, tail wagging, ready to clock on for emotional‑support duty.
